SAN FRANCISCO, CA – MARCH 16, 2010 (SOE Press Release) – LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) announced today the release of Threat of the Conqueror, the latest expansion in the successful Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game. Players can aid the Alliance Renegade Squadron as they gather intelligence and locate the Empire’s modified Star Destroyer – dubbed the Conqueror – which holds within itself the ability to destroy entire planets, or they can take the side of the Empire’s elite storm commandos as they work to crush the Rebels and ensure the maiden voyage of the Empire’s newest deadly weapon. No matter what side they choose, ten new story scenarios will pull them into the fight in this pivotal battle between good and evil. This new set also brings the ability to boost gamers’ light or dark side deck with all-new special-forces themed cards, as well as all-new Bith and Duros avatar race cards.
The Threat of the Conqueror adds more than 200 new playable cards, including 30 new loot cards, to the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game, bringing the total number of cards in the game to more than 1,800. The new playable cards will feature unique keyword abilities that:
Grant “Intel” labeled units additional bonus powers when they come into play, allowing for more tactical options within a round
Enable stacking “Reinforcement” bonuses which adds the ability to play additional reinforcement units as the length of gameplay increases
In addition, this expansion introduces new cards to the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game, including:
Player-Created Art Cards – The Star Wars Galaxies Galactic Civil War Photo Contest winners are unveiled. One Rebel-themed winner, one Imperial-themed winner and one neutral-themed winner have had their submitted screenshots turned into art cards in Threat of the Conqueror.
New Loot Cards – More than 30 new special-forces themed loot cards will be available, including the AT-PT Walker Vehicle, the Vehicle Garage and the imposing Republic Gunship Vehicle Collectible Item.

Ewok Festival of Love 2010
by credits4swg on Mar.25, 2010, under swg characters, SWG Credit Farming Guide, Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
Next week the ever popular Ewok Festival of Love will be back. We’re adding some new rewards including colorable flowers and some other surprises. Thanks to all your hard work last year, the Sage Blaire is doing much better but there’s a new Sage this year that will need your help. There will also be some new badges and new titles with this year’s event. Happy Love Day to all of you!
The 78th month veteran reward will also go live with this event. We thought we’d make life a little easier on our vets, so you’ll enjoy the convenience this reward will offer.
Update 16
Alas the long awaited reveal of the next game update. There’s a lot going on in this update. A few things will be announced later. Here is a teaser of some of the things that you can look forward to.
Content: Nym’s Theme Park
The old theme park will be receiving a long deserved revamp to make the content more challenging. This theme park will also pick up where the content path left off in an effort to deliver a more complete experience for new players. Quests will be added to the player’s journal. Players will get a chance to earn new rewards. We’re also planning to include additional side quest, collections, and solo and group content. New and veteran players alike will enjoy the new theme park and get a chance to play one of our most exciting quest series.
Space: Yes Space!
We’re removing the Kessel Switch. Destroying the Star Destroyer or the Freedom Station will no longer have any effect on Kessel. In addition the special spawns that would normally only appear after one of the two had been destroyed will now always be active. We’re also removing (almost) all of the collection spawns from all the space zones (the spawns remain in the Nova-Orion zone). Instead these spawns will now be available via space Duty Missions from the space stations. Finally, Destroy Duty Missions will give the player special tokens as a reward in addition to the credit payout. The tokens can be used to purchase randomly generated space parts. Players will be able to select the type of item (for example: Armor, Weapon, or Engine) and the certification level. The stats will be generated in the same way looted items are generated. Oh and one more thing on the list is to change Nym’s Starmap and the Lord Cyssc missions and make them repeatable (you’ll be able to do them daily). It really feels great to discuss space changes in a producer note (I can’t wait until GCW part 2).
Can you fix … We can try!
After too long of a wait we are dedicating a large portion of GU16 to address top senate and community issues. We hear you and we are very excited to get a chance to start focusing on addressing these issues. The goal of this update is to address issues across all the professions plus fixes for player associations, groups, role players, battlefields, and even some GCW (can’t …. stop …). So far the team is making great progress.
And there is more. Stay tuned for more details on this very exciting update.
Thanks to everyone who has become our fan on our new SWG Facebook page. We have over 4,000 fans and it’s growing strong. Congratulations on hitting that first milestone and earning everyone in the game the Storm Trooper Squad Leader bobble head. We’re looking forward to achieving the next milestone for more in-game rewards.

All you need are four things to solo a Corvette and Star Destroyer.
1) A Mark V Engine with a top Speed of 118.5
2) Droid Program: Engine Overload III or IV*
3) Droid Program: Weapon Capacitor Overcharger III or IV*
4) Droid Program: Capacitor to Shield Shunt IV.
* I use Engine Overload III and Weapon Capacitor Overcharger III because level IV programs causes item decay on your starship parts.
Once you launch into space, load Engine Overload and Weapon Capacitor Overload. If your fighter is fast enough, you should have a speed of over 1400. You dont need a booster, but one is helpful if you get into a tight spot.
Now enter Kessel or Deep Space. As you approach your target accelerate too full speed. You should be moving fast enough that most of their weapons can not hit you. While moving at top speed, target the weapons, shields, etc, and strafe them. Usually two or three passes is enough to destroy a component. Sometimes you will be hit by one or two blasts from the enemy ship. When this happens, use your capacitor to shield shunt before you make your next attack run. With Capacitor Overcharge, more energy is available to replenish your shields.
You do not need to destroy the weapons on these ships, though it does make things easier. All you need to destroy is the Primary and Secondary Shield Generators, the Engine, the Reactor, and the Bridge.
Once you destroy the bridge, the ship will blow up reguardless of shield, armor, system status.
You can also Solo Tier 5 Gunboats in Kessel and Deepspace. Tier 5 Gunboats have a maximum weapons range of about 540 meters. If you fly your ship directly behind the gunboat, match speed and maintain a distance of 540-550 meters, your weapons will be able to damage the gunboat while he wont be able to damage you.
Pay close attention to the movement of the gunboat, as they tend to change course often. This can rapidly close the distance between you and the gunboat bringing you into their weapons range. This is where Capacitor to Shield Shunt really comes in handy.
You can minimize the risk somewhat by targetting the rear fireing weapons first, then target the engines. However, unlike the Corvette or StarDestroyer, you need to bring the gunboats rear shields and armor down before you can start to damage the sub-systems.
If you are declared overt in Space (By talking to a Faction Space Station), you will be rewarded 240 Faction Points per Gunboat.
Thanks a lot hope i get premium!!! yay please no nay!!

Star Destroyer is easy with any ship… Come in from the side, start shoting shield generators when at 500, fly through explosion and take the second one out, circle around and take out the engine from the rear..
Do a half loop and take out the Generator, boost to the center and turn towards the bridge, keep boosting untill you are at 1m from bridge..
Do it right and the cannons cant hit you..
Take out the bridge at your leasure..
Rinse and Repeat..
Corvette’s are easy too, all you really need is to be able to handle the fighter escort..
And make sure you have Mark III Concussion missiles, preferably with dmg range 4500-9000.
Come in slow from the side, target the primary shield generator with a missile, it targets from a range of around 6-700..
Fire, and turn away..
Deal with any fighters comming your way..
Again come from the side, target secondary shield if primary whent down on 1 missile as it should.
Fire and turn away..
Gunboats will ignore you if you dont come any closer..
Take out the engine next, and wait a min or so.
Gunboats will fly around for a bit, then continue on their way.
Vette is dead in the water, and now you should be able to do a strafe run against the reactor, and finaly the bridge..
If your not confident in your piloting skills, you can take these out as well with missiles from a safe distance..
Mission complete..
