Protect Your SWG Account

by credits4swg on Jan.07, 2011, under swg characters

SWG account is extremely important for players, and it is the responsibility to protect your account. Protect your account is to protect your personal information and your SWG Credits. This includes password protection, running virus checks, disabling file sharing, or any other means of checking that the owner’s account has not been stolen or compromised. If you find yourself a victim, not all is lost! CSR’s may be able to offer a one-time only “character restoration.” But first you must recover your account (details on doing this can be found here.) SOE strives to maintain an exciting and safe gaming environment. To make things more enjoyable for everyone, we offer basic advice on how to keep your account and credits of SWG secure. There are a variety of ways in which people will attempt to gain access to your account, and the list grows everyday. If player hope to protect your account and SWG gold, look at the following simple tips from us. We are not only offer players cheap SWG credits, but also useful information.

It is not a good idea to share your account
We believe that you have play MMORPG once, you have hear this same advice. No matter your friends or your family, don’t share your SWG account. It is a very useful to protect your SWG money and property. Gamers have heard the advice before, yet a lot of people still opt to share their account information with close friends. Having a guildmate complete a quest for you while you’re sleeping may seem mostly harmless, but bad things can happen. While it doesn’t always end in catastrophe, you could log back in with a new last name like “Lovetrollslongtime” or something slightly worse which might result in a banning. It’s not always obvious, malicious attacks that cause good accounts to go bad! I’m sure we’ve all heard the fateful stories of guildbanks emptied and outfit members booted. Sadly, this is often a direct result of sharing account information. Not only do you run the risk of virtual strangers reeking havoc on all you’ve worked hard for, but you make it difficult for SOE’s customer service staff to investigate and resolve issues.

Be aware of phishing sites
As a wise SWG players, you should be aware of phishing sites which is usually a website created to mimic a well-known or frequently used site in an attempt to fraudulently gain sensitive account information. It means your SWG credits, exclusive items and equipments are very dangerous. Gaming communities have been targeted in the past via email, spamming a link that takes the reader to a site that, upon first glance, appears to be legit. The imposter site may offer in-game items for completing surveys, or pose as a game representative, warning that your account is in limbo. Here at SOE we do not offer enticing ways to earn in-game money through email. We prefer the old fashioned way of logging in, killing mobs, completing quests, etc. Be extremely cautious when exposed to external sites through email, claiming to be affiliated with Sony Online. You will only be prompted to enter your password when logging into an SOE game, or when visiting an official Station site.

Faster way to grind to Chronicle Master?

by credits on Mar.13, 2010, under Uncategorized

Buy or grind large stacks of fragments and run the macro posted in the macros section here to convert the fragments into relics and automatically add them to your chronicle builder. Then begin creating holos after you get a dancer buff for increased exp. You can put the holos on the bazaar that you create or give them to an 2nd account if you have one to run, but you won’t get xp if you use an alt on the same account to run the holos.
It took me about 2 days and 9K of fragments to grind to master. And I just deleted the holos after i created them.
Go to the rogue corsec POI on correlia ( I believe ) or another one on naboo ( I totally forgot the name. I am sure you can find it on the web or the SWG forums) and just grind there afk for about a night or so, use my delete script here on the forums to get rid of anything besides chronicle relics.

Be sure to just make each quest of three tasks. Thats the most effiecient XP.

Then just add them all to your stack make your quest in the chronicler builder once, run a macro to open the chronicler window
Code:
Name: ChronGrind

/chronicleQuestBuilder
/pause 3.2
/m ChronGrind

And put an autoclicker on the create button.

Credit farmers

by credits on Mar.13, 2010, under Uncategorized

Credit farmers
I am not sure if it still works anymore but, some of them used bunch of trial accounts for terminal mission. They had 1 lvl 90 char in group, rest were low level chars taking terminal mission (which were lvl 90 because of the one lvl 90 in group). All the low-lvls were placed in a vehicle following the lvl 90, who destroyed the lairs or what ever. After 10-15 they were rdy and started a new round.

Another way was by betraying SOE … they created new accounts paid by credit card. They sold the newbie-rewards (AT-RT etc) and closing the credit card account (safed the Credits on another chars). That was the reason why it was able to get AT-RTs on all well populated servers for 5mil.

Several of the credit farming sites do not farm at all. They buy them from players in game, and re-sell them. They don’t even do the exchange themselves.

They contact you to see if you have spare credits. If so, you trade them over to their customer wanting to buy them. The verbal exchange that takes place during this is up to you (“Here’s the credits I owe you for the holo” or whatever).

You screenshot the trade, sent to the “farm” site, and get paid while they collect more money from the customer. Literally, they are just the middle man making cash off of the transaction.

WHAT TO DO FIRST
Obviously the first thing to do is to buy some grenades. This is not as easy as it sounds, as grenades are not made very often (it takes the weaponsmith a long time and a lot of resources). The way i found grenades was to advertise on the trade forums or just ask Commando’s if they knew a place to buy grenades. Make sure when you are buying the ‘nades that they are about 200-800 damage with a speed of 2.0-2.9. Dont bother to get these grenades sliced, unless you know someone who can give you free slices or you are a smuggler. For those of you who would prefer more bang for your buck, look around for some Grenade Powerups. If you cannot find any, a Master Artisan should be able to make some. The best way to buy grenades is in factory crates of 25. They will often be priced between 15k and 40k.

Ok, now we have some grenades. But what is the best and quickest way to use them? Go to your toolbar. If you havent extended it into 2 bars, do that now. On the top left of your toolbar there should be 2 little arrows. Press one of these arrows until you find an empty or unused toolbar. Now clear a lot of space in your inventory and pull out a full crate worth of grenades. Place each grenade in a slot in the toolbar.

Ok so our grenades are ready to be used. However we need to be suitably protected so we dont blow up when the creatures do. If you are wearing ANY armour without blast resists (Ubese, Mabari etc) this will not be good. I use composite armour with at least 70% Blast damage protection. Now that you have armour selected, get buffed as you normally do.

WHAT TO KILL

Now we are all prepared to use our grenades, but it is no use unless we know what to kill. Go to either Dathomir or Dantooine. On both of these planets you normally find large solo groups. Get in a group and take missions for creatures that have no blast resists, but still give out good xp. Some examples of these are:

Dantooine
Huurton Stalkers
Pikets
Dathomir
Baz Nitches

Obviously there are more than just these animals that you can hunt with grenades. Ok, take 2 missions for these creatures (it is faster to get them in one direction but you do not have to), switch to your ‘grenade toolbar’ and head to the mission WP.

COMBAT!!!!!

Congratulations, you are almost there. Now all we have to do is destroy the lair (it helps to have mastered an elite combat profession for this).Now, attack the lair before you attack the other creatures (lets imagine that they areHuurton Stalkers). This gets the Huurtons attacking you in a large group. Because attacking a lair gives you a 100% hit ratio, and ALL grenades have a blast radius, you should move close to the mission lair. This means that the pack of Huurtons that is attacking you will follow you and crowd around their lair. Now start throwing ‘nades’. Remember, each grenade has 5 uses, so hit each of the grenades in your toolbar 5 times before going to the next one. The lair and Huurtons will take longer to kill than a normal lair, but if u have mastered an elite combat profession each Huurton killed will give you 5000 Combat XP. After the lair is empty, switch to a normal weapon, as it is a waste of grenades to take the lair out with no real results.

THE NUMBERS

Anybody who has mastered an elite combat profession (especiallya melee one) will find this easy to do. And since your Combat XP will cap out at 300k, it is also a lot quicker than a normal grind.300k Combat XP = 100k FSXP. This means that it is possible to get possibly 500k FS XP done in 1 day.

About SWG

by credits on Nov.05, 2009, under SWG News

As many of you may know, sharing your account information (login/password) is against SOE policies. Keeping account information secure is the responsibility of the owner of the account. We cannot tell you how many times we’ve seen a customer’s ex-wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend, brother/sister, mother/father/grandparent, roommate/guildmate, child/dog/cat (yes, people have claimed their pets deleted stuff on their account ”accidentally”), log into an account and have a field day of revenge for some unknown wrong that was done to them. That in and of itself should be warning enough to keep your login info to yourself and not to write it down where others can find it or post it on your super-secret guild website that only a few friends have access to.

“So how does this relate to Buying Credits and Power Leveling services?”

Very simple, and here is the crux of the concern we want to bring to the attention of our customers: credit selling and power leveling websites are now actively compromising accounts, stripping them of everything (and stripping guild banks, too), and using the credits they gain from this malicious access to sell to players. We’ve been seeing more and more instances of this.

We even had a case recently where an account purchased credits from a website credit seller was later accessed and stripped of all items by that very same credit seller, and on the next day was sold back the same credits that was taken from their account.
How does CS know this? When we investigate these issues, we can track where the money goes. Sure the credit sellers use different techniques to try to mask what is actually happening, but our logs record what they do and with some time we can see exactly what happened and take action from there.

The credit sellers and power leveling services are likely obtaining account information in a number of ways, whether in a clandestine manner such as viruses, worms, and keystroke loggers embedded in their websites, or as obviously as saving your account info for later exploitation when you give them the information to power level your character.

“What is CS doing about the credit seller/spammer issue?”

Customer Service is constantly working with our Dev, QA, and Platform teams to come up with new ways to track, remove and prevent spammers, credit sellers, etc. from doing the disruptive things they do. As the bad guys adjust their tactics to try and avoid detection, CS responds in turn and counters their activities. Heck, we even have a team of GMs specifically dedicated to investigating and removing credit selling/spamming/hacking/illegal farming accounts from our games.

As for this specific issue, when CS receives a petition from someone that has had their account compromised and is missing all their hard earned credits and items, we do our very best to assist with restoring characters and guild banks back to the way they were before they were maliciously accessed and then we go after the culprit. These investigations can take a significant amount time to do and we cannot guarantee that we can return characters back to the exact point they were at before this happened. These types of issues also take time away from answering customer petitions for other important issues involving bugged quests, items, and so on.

The bottom line is this: credit sellers and power leveling services, never trustworthy to begin with, are now actively double-crossing the very people that trusted them and have taken this problem to another level. This also means that if you have shared your account information with anyone at any time in the past, you have put your account at risk for losing the rewards of your long hours of game play. In our experience with seeing Compromised Account issues, no one you share your account information with will treat it with the respect it deserves and this situation almost always ends with a petition for help.

Easy Levelin Guide Compilation

Looking through all of the different leveling guides because i, like everyone else, hate that grind. So i decided to put together a few of the guides i read into one and thought id post it here. Im not looking for points or anything like that, just want to add something to the community. Here goes..

Get yourself a pet. I recommend spending the money on a good one if u have the money, never know when your gonna want it. This will obviously require you to get to level 10, at least. Buy the exp buffs and food for your pet. Figure out which food your pet likes because the extra exp is a nice addition. Put 3 of your exp buffs on your toolbar and make a macro similar to this one:

Name: PStims

/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot01;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot02;
/pause 1;
/macro PStims

Wherever the toolbar slots are just examples. Put the stims wherever. Make a one for your food like this:

Name: PEat

/ui action toolbarSlot03;
/pause 360;
/macro PEat

Set up the rest of the macros you want like heals, afk macros, and what have you. Now on to the grinding part

Find some level 1 or 2 beasties to grind. For your pet to get exp you need to be fighting targets within 10 levels of yourself. This should take a few days. Your pet wont level higher than you but he will keep getting exp. If you examine him you will see his exp gain going up in percentage. After a few days you will see that he has capped out at 8000% exp. or something of that sort. If your level 11 it’ll be 7900% exp. and so on. So now respec to entertainer. Your pet will keep his exp. Master entertainer with a macro like this one:

Name:Flourish

/flourish 1;
/pause 5;
/flourish 2;
/pause 5;
/macro Flourish

Leave that for about 36 hours and you should be level 90 or nearing it. Now the tricky part, put enough exp into beast master to get healing abilities for your pet. Then find some level 80s and kill them until your pet is 90. He will gain 1 level per kill.

Finally, do legacy quests, meatlumps, so on and so forth but DO NOT complete any quests! Respec back to a combat proffesion and complete all of your quests. If you arnt level 90 keep doing missions. They’ll be a lot easier with your level 90 pet. You can even go to that place on the webweaver path where you cant be attacked.

So thats the guide. If i left anything out, well you should be able to fill in the blanks. I havnt personally mastered with this but i know it works because iv tested parts of it. You can also change it to your liking. Leveling with a pet is quite a nice way of doing it for a lot of reasons.
