SWG: Buying of SWG credits makes game turn around

by credits4swg on May.26, 2011, under Swg Credits

You will love the game play and the interaction of the player with the external environment. The game provides you the chance to customize your character or select from the provided races among human, wookies or fish head characters (mon calamari) and many others. The game gives you very different feel each time as there are quite unique play scenes for example the fish head playing guitar. The game provides the character development in specific ability so you can do repeatedly the task in which your character is better to gain experience.

The thing makes a bit annoying is that game get slower as the interaction increases. The other characters have very large role to play and you have to wait for your turn. The good thing is that it gives you help in fighting or being healed. However there are many battle options to fight in the game if you like constant action you can choose only the quest which gives you more individual role playing. The buying of SWG credits makes the game turn around. As you can buy whatever you want and build your character according to your own needs. The other good thing about online credits is they are cheap and easy to get. You do not have to wander in the game spending half an hour to just find few credits that does not fulfill your need of specific armor or sword. Also you need credits as if you die carrying some costly and high value items on your corpse you have to pay to get your corpse back. So why just log on and Buy SWG Credits now.

Medic – Halberd Galin’s Tips to being a Novice Medic

by credits4swg on Jan.19, 2011, under SWG Farming Guide, SWG GUIDE

To begin, I will assume a few things.

1. You started as an Artisan –

Reason – Resources are free, only if you can get them yourself. Beginning as an Artisan allows you to survey and sample these resources yourself. For more information, look at the other guides on this site. I suggest getting yourself up to Engineering 2, so that you can create all the tools and survey equipment you need.

For a Guide to starting an Artisan, Check out Tale’s Guide.

2. You are not in this for the money –

Reason – While being a medic can earn you credits from generous people, or from you selling your services, 90% of the time you will earn nothing for what you do. Do not assume that you will always get tipped, do not assume you will always find someone to pay you to heal him or her.

3. You enjoy being in the background –

Reason – While you can do many different professions at once, you have to carry ALOT
Of Medical Supplies (Extra Resources too) due to healing. Don’t encumber yourself with a lot of armor, while a little bit if just fine for your head, hands, feet; your torso should be lightly covered so that you can carry more supplies.

This is a tip, as I have seen many aspiring medics upfront in combat taking some blows… but just remember, you have to be alive so you can bring the incapacitated around.

Now for my tips

Take your time, don’t rush –

Reason – Many persons that work a full time job should know something about being patient. If you sit and watch the clock, it’ll seem like work will never end, and you have this massive amount of work to do… so I suggest this to you all. Don’t rush yourself, take your time with gaining skill and just enjoy yourself. If you notice that you just a few hundred points away from something, go right ahead and concentrate on it to “pop” that skill amount, but otherwise… just don’t bother to open your skill screen, you’ll feel it’s just taking that much longer.

Gather Resources close to a city

Reason – When you’re a young medic, getting the best resources for your stim packs is not THAT important, because your really not skilled enough to use them to their best effectiveness (this is speculation not fact due to personal experience). Just stand in the middle of town and survey for resources, when you find a decent concentration of one (40+ percent) start heading toward the highest, just don’t travel too far away from town because if you get attacked by a mob stronger than you, pick up and burst run to town right away. Though dieing isn’t an issue when you’re a new player, later one it IS an issue (costs a lot and losing your un-insured items is really frustrating) so go ahead and get in the habit.

Make Separate Hotkey groups –

Reason – I have three hotkey groups set at the moment for ease of working and playing.
Set one bar for Combat/Heal Damage/First Aid/Drag Incapacitated with a few of your other favorite special attacks if your a marksman novice (which I am due to combat medic requirements) and Stand/Prone/Burst Run, this will be your General Combat bar. Set another one to all your survey equipment, creation tools, with Survey and Sample in it as well also with Stand/Burst Run if you’re not that fast of a typist, and this will be your Crafting Bar. You might ask “Why put Stand and Burst Run in that bar?” well… when you sample, you kneel, and if you want to stop sampling… you have to either sit/kneel/stand or just move. While you can just move to stand up, it appears from my experience that pressing the move key actually takes longer for you to stand up, then if you just use the stand command (this is not a fact, this is purely my speculation). This is important if you get attacked because the last thing you want to happen is DIE while your getting ready to run away.

{{!!HOT TIP!!}} To quickly jump between hotkey groups, use Crtl-Tilde (The Squiggly mark in the top left corner of USA keyboards) to go up and Crtl-Tab to go down.

{{!!HOT TIP!!}} You can find a list of pre-made macros under your Command and Abilities Tab (Crtl-A) and you can even make your own!

Keep your radar in your peripheral vision –

Reason – Watch out for red mobs, even if you think you can handle an Aggressive mob alone, if your not armored well and don’t have a decent weapon, you will more than likely get your guts smeared on the terrain, as red mobs almost always kill your when your incapacitated, and almost always have help around. My best advice is just watch out if a mob get within 80m of you, and just move away. Don’t Sample very close to Aggressive mobs, because all mobs move around, and if you don’t watch out, they’ll see you.

{{!!HOT TIP!!}} Press Alt and you’ll see a plus and minus appear next to your Radar, increase the range of your radar to get a heads up while running and surveying to avoid bumping into those nasty red mobs.

Make Friends –

Reason – Besides the fact that an MMORPG is more fun when you have people to talk to, if you’re a medic and you don’t have a customer base to help gain skill off of, then what good is being a medic? Yes you can sometimes find the occasional person around that just got knocked around by a big mob that needs a good healing, but it’s a lot easier to just have friends who can /tell you incase they need a you for their hunting party. This is the best way to gain Medical Skill, which you can’t earn a lot every heal as a young medic.

{{!!HOT TIP!!}} To add someone to your friend’s list quicker than accessing your in game friend list just use /addfriend command with their first name after it.

Consider getting the novice scout skill –

Reason – You can’t heal wounds out in the field, unless you’re in a camp. So pick up novice scout and see if they guys in your party will give you 4 bone and 2 hide to make a small camp, it does the trick for when a lot of your team mates have wounds that need to be cared for right away. You may consider at a later date to revoke this skill.

Craft as you Gather

Reason It saves time, but only craft stim packs while your gathering, as they are less complex normally, plus you can heal your action wounds while your sampling, just select yourself and /healdamage or use your hotkey.

{{!!HOT TIP!!}} You can use more than one tool at a time to craft your stim packs. The Generic Crafting Tool and the Chemical/Food Crafting tool can both make Stim Packs.

Be Courteous

Reason Even though you might have friends for one reason or another, be nice to those not in your group, Friendly or Enemy. If you’re a generous person enough, people will begin to /tell you for your services, and if your low on cash, be nice to those in your party: for Example, if you’ve known the people you’re hunting with for 2-3 weeks, and have hunted with them a lot, but asked for nothing, it wouldn’t hurt to say Hey fellas, I’m having some hard times with money, and I really need to pay off my Harvester Maintenance fees, could you perhaps pay me 1000cr for today’s healing? I’d really appreciate it. Believe me, when your broke like I am it never hurts to grovel a bit, mostly to those that you’ve helped so much. (You’ve kept their butts alive, wouldn’t hurt if they could help pay for your resources at least.)

Halberd’s Number One Rule and Mateo of a Medic

Sacrifice for those in need

What does Halberd’s Mateo mean? If someone is getting blasted up, no matter who it is, get out your blaster and start pounding that mob while you heal the fella so he can get away. Better make sure your stuff is insured and you don’t have any loose Credits on you, or else it might hurt a lot more than just your stats. I have countless folks calling for my services because I saved them from a Rouge Fambaa that was chasing them.

When does Halberd’s Mateo not apply?

Duels, Faction Battles, and those that tell you to leave them be.

Duels are not your place to mess around with, and I personally haven’t even tried to heal someone that was in a Duel, I don’t know if you can but stay out of it.

Faction Battles are not your place either, and as a Neutral you can’t even heal overt faction players. Unless your wanting to get in on the action of one of the sides, and get yourself shot up for the fun of it, stay out of them.

If someone says they don’t want your help, just nod to them and walk away. When a patient refuses help, it’s not your place to second-guess them.

Ryatt Trail Afk Leveling

by cow on Jan.06, 2011, under SWG GUIDE

First travel to Kashyyyk and go to the webweaver path on ryatt trail, you may need a friend to help you down there or either an ent buff with kinetic armor / movement speed. Once you are on the webweaver path, go to waypoint -326 -49, then make sure your skills can be fired from toolbar in options. (set auto loot from misc options menu)
1) Put your area attack on the first slot of your toolbar, then make this macro
Call it area
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause 1;
/m area;
2) Put a droid on the 2nd slot of your toolbar and make this macro (make sure the droid is cl 30 since your such a low level right now)
Call it droid
/say attack;
/pause .8;
/say follow;
/pause .8;
/m droid
3) Make a 3rd macro to call and store the droid, this is to prevent the battery from dieing so fast and to recall the droid since its going to die a LOT, the blink is to prevent AFK crashes due to inactivity
Call it call
/ui action toolbarSlot01;
/pause 30;
/blink;
/m call;
4) Make a macro that will cycle the targets for your droid to attack make sure your FIELD OF VIEW is maxed so you will be able to see all of the wookies:
Call the macro cycle
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/pause 2;
/m cycle;
Tips:
- Before turning on your macros, try to shoot one of the wookies, if it says “Can’t see target” then you are in the tree properly.
- If you are looking to only make money, delete all collection items and save only junk, clothing, armor, and weapons to sell to a junk dealer, I make about 3mil a night with this macro.
- Make sure you are looking straight at the wookies and not anywhere else when you start your macros up.
- If a wookiee is bugged that you DON”T have agro on, your going to have to change instances.
- Get a long exp buff before heading out
- Talk to the Guide up top and get his quest so you can warp back down to the web weaver path after you have been there once.
- Buy a crate of droid batterys before you start
You Must be Any of these proffesions:
Medic(CL 38):
in your expertise you will need to get the following: 2nd page – affliction intensity and affliction duration, they are in the bottom right hand corner, 3rd box up – after you have those 2 boxes, you will need to get evasion in the first page (you wont have enough points to get it right off, you’ll have to level up a few times first.) Your AOE attack is Nerve Gas
6) Once you have enough points to get evasion, put it on slot 3 of your toolbar and make this macro:
Call it eva
/ui action toolbarSlot02;
/pause 1500;
/m eva;
The purpose of evasion here is to loose agro of wookies that are bugged and unattackable, hence why the pause is so long, so you will not loose agro very often on NPCs that currently have your dots.
Bounty Hunter(CL38):
Your AOE attack is Tangle Bomb, once you are lvl 50, you may use 2 AOE attacks, so put Razor Net(your new AOE) into slot 2, and your droid into slot 3, and alter your macros to this:
Call it area
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot01;
/pause 1;
/m area;
Call it call
/ui action toolbarSlot02;
/pause 30;
/blink;
/m call;
Commando(CL10):
Your AOE attack is Remote Detonator, Once you get to lvl 46 you will get the E-mag Mine, your second AOE. As the same with Bounty hunter having 2, change your macros to the same as the Bounty hunter macro’s. Commando is best suited for the Grind as the Remote Detonator AOE has the same damage from lvl 10-90.
Smuggler(CL26):
Your AOE attack is Dirty Tricks, This is slow, so once you get to lvl 38, you might want to switch to any of the other two that you can grind from CL38 (medic/Bounty Hunter).

First travel to Kashyyyk and go to the webweaver path on ryatt trail, you may need a friend to help you down there or either an ent buff with kinetic armor / movement speed. SWG gold can be bought online for a small price

by credits4swg on Nov.26, 2010, under Swg Credits

SWG is the first ever starwars mmorpg. The game is set in the movie universe and players will be able to relive their favorite moments from the film. Familiar scenes from the movie are common throughout the world. Players can choose from a large pool of classes. Some of these classes such as the Jedi and entertainer have a unique play style. Therefore when choosing your class, always make sure it is something you will enjoy playing as. SWG gold is the standard credit system within starwars galaxies. Players must accumulate SWG gold. Star Wars Galaxies Credits is needed to travel to different planets in the solar system. It is also needed to create weapons and ammunition. Players can use swg credits to also purchase services from other players such as the entertainers. SWG will carry players through key components of the game. Much of the content is a fabricated from the movie itself and players will see familiar characters.

Players can also change their alignments depending on how they choose to complete quests and missions. SWG gold is rewarded differently depending on your solution to the mission’s problems. The two main alignments are rebels and the empire. Any fan of the movies will realize what these factions represent. SWG Credits can be bought online for a small price. Purchasing SWG gold can give you an advantage over other players and factions. Thanks to gold services you may be able to obtain new armor and weapons that very few people on SWG will have.

Producer Note: February 5th, 2010

by credits4swg on Mar.25, 2010, under swg characters, SWG Credit Farming Guide, Swg Credits, SWG News

Since GU15 went live last week, the team has continued to work on the update and incorporate your feedback. We added a “GCW Personal Contribution” radial menu option to the war terminal to help players see how they are contributing to the GCW. We polished and tweaked the city invasions to make them more enjoyable and challenging. We put in a tutorial interface that can be used at any time to get a waypoint or as a help reference (“/gcwSkirmishCityHelp”). And for the next hot fix, we’ve made all the GCW Battle Worn Armor destructible. I actually had to pull the team off the GCW enhancements and get them going on GU16 and EFOL. They are all really excited about this update and want to make sure it’s in the best shape possible for you to enjoy. Don’t worry though; they will be back on GCW later this year. For GCW part 2, we are planning to refine and expand the systems introduced in this first update and turn our focus to space and player cities.

It’s really fun to watch players compete for region and planet control. Congratulations to the Rebels for just edging out the Imperials in the Galaxy Wide GCW score (Rebel 52% vs. Imperial 48%). Imperials need to step it up some to grab hold of the galaxy again. Good luck to you all.

Want to know how the Galaxy Wide score is calculated? Log into DevH and find out.

Also on the war front, MMORPG posted an interview with me covering this update. Be sure and check it out

Armor Revealed

by credits on Jan.04, 2010, under SWG GUIDE

runescape powerleveling

All of the information here is gleaned from watching hours of combat spam. it gives me something to do while I cue up specials. I hear a lot of people wondering about armor, and most dont know how it works. I just figured it out recently as well.

Im going to break it down by stats found on all armor:

Durability

All armor has durability. Most of us have seen its effects. Armor in this game seems to decay in some relation to the damage it takes. The more damage, the faster it decays. As the armors get better, they increase in absorb, and also increasse in durability to make up for it. Use a repair kit to replenish durability, but be prepared to break it and have to buy a new piece.

Protection

All armor has a an AC of 1(as far as I can see, prove me wrong on this) It will absorb 50% of all damage not listed in vulnerabilities PLUS any percentage listed in Protection. Say if you have 10% kinetic(this is a value found on chitin). Damage dealt is 100, the armor will take 50 damage plus 5 more damage. It will say “Blah blah armor absorbs 55 damage” in the combat spam. The offshoot from this system is that small damages get lowered by less than large damages. Which is partly the reason I didnt notice before. For most hits, it will look like your armor absorbs 50%, but at higher damages the secondary number is in effect as well. At first I thought it was a rounding error

a. Special protection

all armors have a type of damage that they are best at absorbing(bone: energy, mabari: heat and blast). I believe this is also where layers will come into effect later(when they work).

b. Normal Protection

this is where the natural defense of the armor shows up. All of the damage types that the armor absorbs are listed here.

Vulnerability

These damage types are what the armor will Not absorb. You will be hit for full damage with these types of attacks. Even if your AC is 1. Some very rare damage types will fall into vulnerabilities, that I can only see players doing. Have you seen an electricity attack from an npc? I havent.

Encumbrance

a. Health This number is subtracted from the secondary stats. It will reduce Strength and Constitution by the given amount. Effected mostly by Chestplates.

b. Action Same as above, only for Quickness and stamina. Leggings and boots effect these areas the most

c. Mind Same as health only for focus and willpower. Helms effect this area greatly

Encumbrance will lower stats by a huge amount for good armor. Even experimented suits will have a large effect. I have a very rough suit of chitin right now, and my strength, constitution, quickness and willpower are dipping into the 100-200 range while my focus is like under 100. This will get better, but I would expect it to only halve, which is still significant(at least for a brawler)

Remember that both creatures and players have armor. The above rules still apply. If you have high enough creature knowledge, you can see all of the stats that matter on creatures. To help you decide what to attack and what not to, as well as pinpoint the vulnerabilities. I assume most people that hunt have no idea what the creatures armor is, and wonder why their lightning gun isnt hurting the creature, or their new blaster of armageddon is only tickling the giant sand beetle.

SWG Tanta’lize

by credits4swg on Dec.15, 2009, under swg characters, Swg Credits

Today’s Galactic Couture is about Tanta’lize, located in Mos Vegas and various starports throughout the Starsider server. A teaser:

“What materials did you use to create your outfit? I made the hide boots, link-steel gloves, revealing skirt, lekku wrap and small bustier, hidden by her armor. My good friend Anodyne made the padded armor for me. I chose orange for her clothes and armor while going with brown for boots and gloves.

Did you have a certain inspiration for your creation? To be different of course. You don’t see very many characters wearing orange, or with orange skin.

Was your outfit created for a certain event, combat, or some other reason? Crafting. Respecced to Domestics trader.”

Farm Credits

by credits on Nov.05, 2009, under SWG Credit Farming Guide

As a Commando you can deal out amazing amounts of Area of Effect (AoE) damage and Damage over Time (DoT) effects, all of which can be done from range (of course). In addition to your special skills, you can also use flamethrowers and rocket launchers for absurd amounts of damage. The Commando seems to be built for farming, and of course leveling everything in sight. I would suggest equipping a flame thrower rather than a rocket launcher, and I will point out some details as to why below (acid launchers are great alternatives too).

1) One of the major benefits to farming with a Commando is being able to use an amazing array of different attacks and weapons. You can lay mines, throw grenades, and use a flamethrower simultaneously, landing massive DoT and AoE damages as well as spraying ridiculous amounts of flame in all directions (or acid). It is important to put as many Expertise points into all skill lines that will assist you in doing greater immediate impact damage, DoT and AoE damage, and enhance your Precision attribute.

2) The best areas to farm credits post-Chapter 5 are where there are MANY DOZENS of level 5-30 enemies that are non-Elites. Meaning, their health will be low enough, and armor, to allow a single attack to kill the entire group. An interesting thing to note is that there is not a huge difference in the number of credits “randomly looted” from a bunch of level 5′s as there are from a bunch of level 30′s. I’ve noticed an average of about 160 credits on each level 1-5 corpse, and about 220 credits from level 20-30′s. This means that if you can find a consistent, quick-spawning area of level 1-15′s you will have the best chance at killing them all, looting them all, and then rinsing and repeating faster than possibly having to make a second or third attack on level 20-30′s. And this is all about time-efficiency and not fun. Though the fun comes in seeing how many credits you will loot in a short amount of time.

3) I would recommend heading to Mos Eisley, Tatooine and venturing outside the city a few hundred meters to the West. You should see mass spawns of Swoop Gang members and generally a bunch of ‘red agro’ enemies between levels 1-10 (max). You can also head right outside the city walls (to the South I think) where you will find mass-mobs of level 1-5 ‘red agro’ spawns. Either of these groups will do. One of the reasons I recommend Mos Eisley is that it is A) setup as the ‘starter town’ and thus has many low level enemies and B) Since it is a ‘starter town’ has mass-spawns to provide for the many dozens-or-hundreds of new players needing xp early in the game. Take advantage of this fact, as rarely anywhere else in the game will you find so many low level spawns with such fast respawn timers that are purely ‘humanoids’ (thus giving you credits rather than ‘organs and meat’). It is important to note that you should avoid killing and looting many animals/creatures for farming credits because the credits will be non-existent or sparse at best, and you will fill up your inventory with worthless meats and organs.

4) Once you have located one of these low-level ‘humanoid’ spawns, simply start “going to town” on the same area with your flamethrower or acid launcher, promptly followed by immediate grenades and AoE attacks, as well as any other attacks you might have on-hand with your Commando. For nearly all of these Mos Eisley-centric spawns you will notice that, typically, a single grenade attack will wipe out the entire bunch. I would recommend also just running in circle around huge mobs and spraying your flamethrower, which should burn all of them to death within seconds.

4a) An Important Note:
For the most effective use of your Commando, run through any mass-spawn mob and agro them all with your Flamethrower to get them running after you. Then start running in wide arcing circles until you have a lengthy train behind you of enemies. Then, stop arcing your run, and run straight backwards, looking at the enemies as they straighten out in a line right behind you. Then, with the right timing, you can wipe out the entire bunch with a single potent mine or grenade, or even just spray the whole bunch with your flamethrower. It doesn’t matter how many enemies there are in front of you (even many hundreds), a single attack by grenade, mine or flamethrower will drop every single one of them instantly. This is a fun alternative way to kill groups while having a bit more fun, and using less Stamina.

4b) Another Important Note:
You can also try running in just a huge circle, spraying your Flamethrower at the center of a mob, and ’rounding’ up all the enemies in a central group while running in circles flaming them to death. This is called the “Lasso Technique” by some Commandos.

5) Have a loot macro set up to automatically loot the corpses faster (see the forums for a number of posts that have details on the loot macro command lines and how to set one up). I will also post a new guide on how to set up a loot macro very soon. Once your loot macro is set to run (and preferably cycling every 1 second) you should be able to run over every corpse very fast and it will loot everything on them without you having to open any loot windows. I would also recommend have three loot macros set up, all of them identical (named differently though: like macro1, macro2, and macro3). Then activate all of them within milliseconds of each other and watch as three (or more) loot macros cycle every tenth of a second.

6) Simply rinse and repeat.

Outside of Mos Eisley I usually average about 5,000-10,000 credits per minute at a leisurely pace, sometimes upwards of 15,000 or more a minute if I’m actually paying attention and trying. This means that you should be able to average between 500,000-750,000 credits an hour, at a moderate pace. I typically perform this type a farming an hour each day I play while ‘hanging out’ on an IRC chat server with some Guildies (Ventrilo) to pass the time. A few of my Guild members do this very same method of credit farming for 2-3 hours a few days a week and net over 20 million credits a week.

From time to time you may notice lower credit amounts being looted, and may drop to 200,000-300,000 credits an hour. That’s all part of ‘farming’, where some days the server drops more, sometimes less. I usually average about 5 million credits a week extra at a leisurely pace, and that’s what this method is geared towards. Enjoy!

1) So, first to the preperations. I had an ent buff (armor, ACR and crit. dunno if kin is in DWB, but just to be on safe side i had it). Then i had pups for crit. No medic buffs or heroic set though. So having those would also be advantagous. I had a 3×30 suit with str/camo/stam as well. But after u get started its pretty easy. Get a droid, preferably a combat droid lvl 60. Now, get access to the death watch bunker.

2) So, go down to the first square area where the mandalorians are located. Stay cloaked and call out your droid. Now make him attack one of the mandalorians, until he says soemthing like “Intruder located, I need reinforcements!”. When he says this, pack up your droid again, or wait until hes down.
Now there should spawn more mandalorians that walk into the room. Do the same with these. Then there should spawn a special NPC with a name. so not “bloodguard bla” or whatever theyre called. Rageon Wrath or something was his name if i recall correctly. Now comes the difficult part. You will have to kill him as soon as he spawns, or wait until hes at a position where you wont get agro from other NPCs. It took me one or two tries, but eventually i managed to kill him. If you can’t make it on your own, get a friend to help you, they can leave after he’s dead. Make sure to “Steal” from all NPCs you see on the way. Don’t bother with the droids, since those don’t have anything on them i think. When stealing you should get the same kind of armor loot as if you were killing them (so 20 to 25s, single to quad statted).

3)After you killed the named NPC and got the key, proceed down to the next area where the Shuttle is parked. Do the same as before. Make sure to “steal” all the NPC that appear. If you are confident you can attempt to kill the 2nd named NPC, but its not really needed.

4) After you stole from all of them, move back to the first square. By the time you r done with the 2nd spawn, the NPC from the first one will have dissappeared again.

5)So go back up, and repeat the procedure, but this time you don’t need to kill the named NPC, since you got the access already. Steal from all the NPC, and then go down again. By the time you are done at the top, those at the 2nd square are gone again. Rinse and repeat as long as you like. This got me some good armor loot for RE. Yes, its not THE quickest way, but its a nice comparativly easy way to get armor loot. and since the NPC respawn, you can go on infinitly.

Anyways, dunno if this is still possible or someone posted this already, but i thought this up myself, so dunno if any1 had a similar idea.
Also, theres always a risk that the NPC “catch” you while you try to steal from them (i think it doesnt matter how high your camo is, it happened to me while i had 300 something camo), so be ready to smoke bomb away incase you get caught.
