Ryatt Trail Afk Leveling

by cow on Jan.06, 2011, under SWG GUIDE

First travel to Kashyyyk and go to the webweaver path on ryatt trail, you may need a friend to help you down there or either an ent buff with kinetic armor / movement speed. Once you are on the webweaver path, go to waypoint -326 -49, then make sure your skills can be fired from toolbar in options. (set auto loot from misc options menu)
1) Put your area attack on the first slot of your toolbar, then make this macro
Call it area
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause 1;
/m area;
2) Put a droid on the 2nd slot of your toolbar and make this macro (make sure the droid is cl 30 since your such a low level right now)
Call it droid
/say attack;
/pause .8;
/say follow;
/pause .8;
/m droid
3) Make a 3rd macro to call and store the droid, this is to prevent the battery from dieing so fast and to recall the droid since its going to die a LOT, the blink is to prevent AFK crashes due to inactivity
Call it call
/ui action toolbarSlot01;
/pause 30;
/blink;
/m call;
4) Make a macro that will cycle the targets for your droid to attack make sure your FIELD OF VIEW is maxed so you will be able to see all of the wookies:
Call the macro cycle
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/pause 2;
/m cycle;
Tips:
- Before turning on your macros, try to shoot one of the wookies, if it says “Can’t see target” then you are in the tree properly.
- If you are looking to only make money, delete all collection items and save only junk, clothing, armor, and weapons to sell to a junk dealer, I make about 3mil a night with this macro.
- Make sure you are looking straight at the wookies and not anywhere else when you start your macros up.
- If a wookiee is bugged that you DON”T have agro on, your going to have to change instances.
- Get a long exp buff before heading out
- Talk to the Guide up top and get his quest so you can warp back down to the web weaver path after you have been there once.
- Buy a crate of droid batterys before you start
You Must be Any of these proffesions:
Medic(CL 38):
in your expertise you will need to get the following: 2nd page – affliction intensity and affliction duration, they are in the bottom right hand corner, 3rd box up – after you have those 2 boxes, you will need to get evasion in the first page (you wont have enough points to get it right off, you’ll have to level up a few times first.) Your AOE attack is Nerve Gas
6) Once you have enough points to get evasion, put it on slot 3 of your toolbar and make this macro:
Call it eva
/ui action toolbarSlot02;
/pause 1500;
/m eva;
The purpose of evasion here is to loose agro of wookies that are bugged and unattackable, hence why the pause is so long, so you will not loose agro very often on NPCs that currently have your dots.
Bounty Hunter(CL38):
Your AOE attack is Tangle Bomb, once you are lvl 50, you may use 2 AOE attacks, so put Razor Net(your new AOE) into slot 2, and your droid into slot 3, and alter your macros to this:
Call it area
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot01;
/pause 1;
/m area;
Call it call
/ui action toolbarSlot02;
/pause 30;
/blink;
/m call;
Commando(CL10):
Your AOE attack is Remote Detonator, Once you get to lvl 46 you will get the E-mag Mine, your second AOE. As the same with Bounty hunter having 2, change your macros to the same as the Bounty hunter macro’s. Commando is best suited for the Grind as the Remote Detonator AOE has the same damage from lvl 10-90.
Smuggler(CL26):
Your AOE attack is Dirty Tricks, This is slow, so once you get to lvl 38, you might want to switch to any of the other two that you can grind from CL38 (medic/Bounty Hunter).

Easy SWG Credits

1.First you must head to the planet of LOC and go to the pirate nyms palace… there you will have the option to do some quests for him. Complete the first 2 quests before even thinking of using this exploit.
2.Once you have completed the first 2 of the 3 total quests, talk to the pirate nym. He will tell you that he wants you to go and retrieve 2 items from an old imperial base. The items are an Imperial Grenade Casing, and a Data Disk
3.Proceed to the Imperial base using the waypoint that nym put in your datapad.
4.When you get to the base, don’t worry about the enemies, because they wont attack you. Now its time for you to do the actual exploit, if you can call it that J
5.You will need your inventory completely full, and an empty backback equipped. First, find the room that has the lootable computer in it. (its inside the left door of the main room with all the scientists) once you have found the computer open up your inventory, and your backpack at the same time. Now your ready to do the exploit…
6.Delete 1 item from your inventory so that you have 1 empty slot… now double click on the computer… it will open up and say that you have no room in your inventory for the data disk… but it will still put one in your inventory. Now, move that one into your open back pack… rinse and repeat until you have 25 of the data disks in your back pack.
7.Now head back up top and go in the opposite side door to find the grenade casing container… Repeat the same steps as you did for the data disk. Open inventory and backpack… make sure inventory only has one empty slot, and double click on the container to get 1 put in your inventory… repeat until you have 25 grenade casings.
8.Now head back to nyms castle… and give him in order 1 data disk, and 1 grenade casing… he will congratulate you on a job well done and give you a badge, he will also give you a Nym slug thrower carbine with 103-217 acid dmg, and 4 speed which can be used by anyone in the game.
9.Empty your inventory so you have 4-5 empty slots then give him another data disk and grenade casing, he will give you another slug thrower even though the mission has been completed. Repeat until your inventory is full, then transfer them to your fast emptying back pack/
10.You can repeat this procedure over and over, each time getting 25 or more slug throwers, you just need to keep the waypoint of the research facility so you can go back and get more ingredients.
11.Lastly, you can eather slice the guns to get the perfect one for you, or you can sell them like me for 100k each on the streets of coronet and theed. I have made about 20 million doing this.
12.Enjoy
As a note I’m not 100% sure it’s not patched.

SWG Great Farming Location

by cow on Jan.06, 2011, under SWG Farming Guide

Go to the planet Lok.

From Nym’s Stronghold, proceed to the North-West. It may be an idea to zoom your radar out a bit to about 512m, or 1024m if you turn off all waypoints, otherwise the arrows on the radar get in the way. Begin to search on your radar for objects marked: “A nest“. If you see one, stop and approach it. You should find it\’s surrounded by gurks:

Kill them, and then attack the nest. Keep attacking until the nest spawns a Reclusive Gurk King:

If one spawns, stop attacking the nest and kill him, then loot. You may find a Gurk King Hide (Actual name). If one doesn’t spawn, destroy the nest and move on looking for the next one. Please note: sometimes the Reclusive Gurk King will not spawn until the last moment before the nest is destroyed, so be careful.)

When you find one that spawns a reclusive gurk king, do NOT destroy the nest after killing the king. Instead, waypoint the nest and begin searching the immediate area for more nests. Do the same for each nest you find. If you don’t find any within a 700m radius, move on, it’s a waste of time having just one there.

Ideally you will end up with three-four nests within 500m of each other, all spawning the reclusive gurk kings. Go between them all, spawning the Kings, killing and looting them, leaving the nests intact, and proceeding to the next nest. You’ll find yourself going round in a circle, finishing the last nest and finding the first nest is back at full health, therefore you can do it all again. Sometimes you get bad days, but don’t be put off. I looted about 110 Gurk King Hides within an hour and a half recently, which, varying on the price of the server, can sell for quite a lot: on my server (Chimaera) I sold them for 100k per hide: a total of 10 million. If you can find a buyer, you’ll have no problem.

These hides are used to make RIS Armour:

Star Wars Galaxies : Looking Ahead to 2011

by cow on Jan.01, 2011, under SWG News

In the final Star Wars Galaxies producer’s letter for 2010, Tony “Teesquared” Tyson talks about some of the bigger news of the year, not the least of which is the Witches of Dathomir update that is now live. In addition, Tyson talks a bit about the plans for the upcoming year.

And we’ll give you MORE =]. The long awaited Officer update will be coming out early next year. Hjal has already started discussion with the Officer Senator and the work has begun. The Galactic Civil War 2 update is also first on the list for next year. As mentioned before, this update will have a focus on space and player cities. We will also be adding more ways to discover Rare Loot System chests that don’t involve combat.

The dev team likes to give out surprises. Every once in a while we find surprises too. We discovered some, what we believe to be, “never before released” structures in our game. Well we’ll be giving these to you next year as well.

Star Wars Galaxies Overview and Recent Content

by cow on Jan.01, 2011, under Uncategorized

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a civil war rages between forces of the resolute Rebel Alliance and the formidable Galactic Empire as a result of galactic-wide trade disputes. The plans to a space station being built buy the Empire, called a “Death Star”, is stolen by the resourceful Rebels. This Death Star possess the capability to destroy entire planets, but with its blueprints in hand, the Rebel Alliance is able to pinpoint a structural weakness and destroy the unfinished planet killer. This action will not go unpunished and the Empire will Strike Back!

Star Wars Galaxies is a sci-fi MMORPG initially released as Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided. This MMOG’s world consists of ten different planets, each one a 16 km x 16 km map and borrowed from the known fictional Star Wars universe with a timeline set between the Episode IV: A New Hope and Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back movies. Star Wars Galaxies features content both mentioned and not mentioned in various Star Wars media. During character creation, players may choose from ten different species and nine different primary professions, all of which are mentioned in various Star Wars media.

As with many MMOs, players of Star Wars Galaxies can use their character’s skills and special abilities to attack targets, complete quests/missions, craft useful items, and/or entertain other players. During their adventures throughout the galaxy, characters will have the opportunity to meet famous Star Wars NPCs, travel in their own landspeeders, speeder bikes or swoops, control economies, earn fame and fortune (or infamy and notoriety), obtain rare items, artifacts and trinkets, and build, own and decorate their own structures, including houses, cantinas and guild halls. These structures can even be organized into entire cities run by players. There have been three expansions since Star Wars Galaxies’ initial release (Jump to Lightspeed, Rage of the Wookies, and Trials of Obi-Wan), all of which have added additional features to the main game.

Guide to Force Shrines

by cow on Jan.01, 2011, under Swg Credits

Guide to Force Shrines
by Glzmo

Introduction

Force shrines are shrines dedicated to the living Force. Force sensitives say they feel their aura in the Force there. In the past, Jedi on the verge of death used to drag their near-dead bodies to such Force shrines where they fell into a healing trance that allowed them to survive, albeit barely. Nowadays this isn’t practiced anymore, but some Jedi have left replacement robes hidden beneath adjacent Force Shrines before battles in order to have fresh clothing afterwards. You may want to check underneath the shrine for items such as this. Jedi also tend to kneel before a force shrine to meditate before it respectfully in order to focus the Force within them and listen for wisdom and advice from ancient Jedi Masters long gone.

Force Shrine Functions

Force shrines have various functions. You can access them by moving the mouse cursor over the Force Shrine and summoning the radial menu (default key: ~). This will present you the following options:

Examine

This radial menu option will examine the force shrine. It works like the /examine command on other in-game items.

Meditate

This radial menu option will allow you to hear random echoes of words of wisdom from ancient Jedi Masters that once meditated at Force Shrines. Note that this only works if you “meditate respectfully”, which means that you have to be in a kneeling position (use the /kneel command) when you click on meditate.

Robe Replacement

This radial menu option will provide you with a replacement Padawan Robe that is the rough equivalent of the Initiate Robe granted at level 22, in case you have lost yours. Note that this only works if you don’t have another Padawan Robe in your inventory, backpack or bandolier. You may leave your other robes in your bank, house or multipassenger ship if you would like to get a replacement Padawan Robe .

There is no emotion, there is peace

This Radial Menu option will provide you with a Shatterpoint Cloak. It will only be available once you have Completed the Master Jedi Cloaks Collection of various Collections (read the Prerequisites section of this guide for details).

/sit down in front of it and use the /meditate ability. Note that this isn’t the same as “meditating respectfully” but the actual /meditate ability from the Jedi Artifact Collection – Meditative Discipline.

Click on the mysterious shrine and open the radial menu. Click on the There is no emotion, there is peace radial menu option to begin reciting the Jedi Code.

After your recital of the Jedi Code you will hear a whispering voice through the Force and a hidden compartment will open to reveal a Shatterpoint Cloak that must have been artfully crafted by an ancient Jedi Master a long time ago. This cloak protects a Force User as well as if not better than any Elder Jedi Robe and has been tailored to allow for more effective lightsaber skills.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion

This Radial Menu option will only be available once you have Completed the Master Jedi Cloaks Collection of various Collections (read the Prerequisites section of this guide for details).

/sit down in front of it and use the /meditate ability. Note that this isn’t the same as “meditating respectfully” but the actual /meditate ability from the Jedi Artifact Collection – Meditative Discipline.

Click on the mysterious shrine and open the radial menu. Click on the Peace is a lie, there is only passion radial menu option to begin reciting the Sith Code.

After your recital of the Sith Code you will hear a booming voice through the Force and a hidden compartment will open to reveal a masterfully crafted Cloak of Hate that must have been artfully crafted by an ancient Sith Lord many millenia ago. This cloak protects a Force User as well as  if not better than any Elder Jedi Robe and has been tailored to allow for more efficient use of electrical Force use like Force Lightning.

Prerequisites to gain Access to the Shatterpoint Cloak and Cloak of Hate

The Master Jedi Cloak Collection has to be completed in order to be able to meditate and gain acces to the There is no emotion, there is peace and Peace is a lie, there is only passion radial menu options. To begin it, speak with Matarmeno Krahnn in Tyrena, Corellia ( /wp Corellia -5520, -2643 Matarmeno Krahnn in Tyrena [Begins Master Jedi Cloaks Collection] ) once you reach level 90.

The following Collections must be completed in order to complete the Master Jedi Cloaks Collection. Only if they are all completed, you’ll be able to successfully complete the following steps:

Collect five different Jedi Holocrons and five different Sith Holocrons to complete the Jedi Artifact Collection – Waistpack.

Collect five different Jedi Holocrons and five different Sith Holocrons to complete the Jedi Artifact Collection – Meditative Discipline.

To finish the One-Handed Fifth Generation Lightsaber Collection, you will need to hand in your Jinsu Razer and collect ten Jedi Relics.

Two-Handed Fifth Generation Lightsaber Collection.

To finish the Polearm Fifth Generation Lightsaber Collection.

Defeat the spirit of Jedi Bre’ano Umakk on Dantooine.

Defeat the spirit of Dark Jedi Quillara Adeen on Yavin IV.
