by credits4swg on Dec.15, 2009, under SWG Credit Farming Guide, Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
Those serving the Empire will be glad to hear that there will be new credit and loot opportunities available!
Taking from the SOE article:
Characters level 85 to 90 will soon be able to take part in revamped Imperial content to complete new quests and earn new rewards!
Players who have already completed the Imperial Theme Park have been granted permission by the Galactic Empire to complete new tasks for the high ranking officials of the Empire. Imperial citizens and officers who complete the assignments set before them by the Empire will earn Galactic Civil War points for completing quests and will also obtain a brand new quest reward.
New SWG Dev Diary: Online Events
by credits4swg on Dec.15, 2009, under SWG Credit Farming Guide, Swg Credits
In today’s Dev Diary, we get to meet Jason “Pex” Ryan, the Online Events Manager for Star Wars Galaxies and the man who plays Darth Vader and other notable characters in-game! We’re sure that grabbed you by the throat; here’s a teaser:
Anytime you see one of the Star Wars characters interacting with players and being generally where they aren’t supposed to be, it is me behind the keyboard pulling the virtual strings. I get to be Luke, Leia, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Admiral Ackbar, Watto, Nautalans, droids, Ewoks, etc. Playing these “named characters”, as I like to call them, is fun, but it’s only part of running events for SWG.
SWG RedMoon Research Facility
by credits4swg on Dec.15, 2009, under SWG Credit Farming Guide, Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
Today’s Galactic Showcase is about the unique “RedMoon Task Force Research Facility,” a secret research building guarded by entrusted members of the RedMoon Task Force. A teaser:
The building also holds lost relics such as a focused crystal and Mandalorian gear such as a jetpack base. RedMoon Task force has recently completed the building with many rare items such as ornate rugs, a polished Krayt dragon skull, and pieces from an Aurilian sculpture.
You might be just a sterling, all-around SWG gamer, but you’ve got to admit — it’s better to have friends help you earn SWG credits. As they say, no man is an asteroid (hehe!).
Here’s an excerpt from the guide released by SOE:
Some players prefer to search in person at local starports and cantinas for potential team-ups. Mid-level players level 40-50 might try meeting other players in Coronet on Corellia. Mos Eisley contains some of the most colorful residents of Tatooine and remains a popular meeting spot for adventurers of all levels. Players often barter, duel, and form groups outside the starport.
Ask the Dev: Medics & No Trade
by credits4swg on Dec.15, 2009, under Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
What are you going to do about No Trade? Players don’t like it . –Sassums
No-Trade isn’t going away. It is also not a true statement to say that all players dislike like it. “No-Trade” is a standard game mechanic, and has always been in the game. The very first no-trade item, the Special Edition Goggles, was there at launch. We have reduced the number of no-trade items going into the game. In the past nearly all of the rewards for GMF, Lifeday, and EFoL would have been no-trade. Additionally, we have removed the no-trade flags from some of the existing “no-trade” items in the game (Xeno furniture, etc). We have a system going in to allow you to consume your once per account item and re-claim it on another character.
SWG Tanta’lize
by credits4swg on Dec.15, 2009, under swg characters, Swg Credits
Today’s Galactic Couture is about Tanta’lize, located in Mos Vegas and various starports throughout the Starsider server. A teaser:
“What materials did you use to create your outfit? I made the hide boots, link-steel gloves, revealing skirt, lekku wrap and small bustier, hidden by her armor. My good friend Anodyne made the padded armor for me. I chose orange for her clothes and armor while going with brown for boots and gloves.
Did you have a certain inspiration for your creation? To be different of course. You don’t see very many characters wearing orange, or with orange skin.
Was your outfit created for a certain event, combat, or some other reason? Crafting. Respecced to Domestics trader.”
New SWG PvP Guide
by credits4swg on Dec.15, 2009, under Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
Today’s SOE article is a brand new PvP guide with tips from the SWG developers and the community elected Player Senate. Here’s an overview from the article:
“There are a lot of ways to get around the galaxy. While most of the common fighting spots will have a shuttle destination, allowing for easy transport, don’t underestimate the benefit of items such as an ITV that allows you to travel to a local destination without having to catch a shuttle or use a space ship. If, for example, the enemies are controlling the entrance to Restuss, look at your planetary map. There might be a second shuttle near the city that would allow you to easily approach the ruins from a different direction.
Camps with shuttle beacons and cloning facilities can be very useful. This is especially true when fighting away from starports and cloning centers. Making good use of camps can allow you and your group to quickly get to the action and quickly recover after being forced to clone.”
SWG Credits Farming
by credits on Dec.01, 2009, under Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
The easiest way to credit farm is to sell stuff as a smuggler (using the call fence ability) but what about the other combat professions?
Well now all professions can sell stuff to junk dealers on the fly.
1. Talk to a junk dealer to get the ‘sell items’ window open
2. Press alt to go to target mode and hide the window so you can fight with a clear screen.
3. When your Inventory gets full. Press ‘alt’ to display the ‘sell items’ screen
LEAVE AT LEAST TWO ITEMS FOR SALE
If you sell everything you have the window will dissapear. Just leave one or two items there at all times so you dont have to travel.
Location: By far the best place to do this trick in is the dead forrest on Kashyyyk. There are lv30ish Moafs that drop two types of guns that sell for 5k and 7k each. They hang out in small groups and have fast respawn timers.
