A Slew of SWG Tips
by credits4swg on Nov.23, 2009, under Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
Are you new to SWG, or are looking for more info on how to level up and/or earn credits and loot? This SOE article, which compiles tips from players, is a godsend. Some excerpts:
When trying to level up a character, Flynne Cordova of Bloodfin suggests mixing it up a bit, especially if you start to feel a little burnt out.
Arkon from Chilastra offers another tip to those who are leveling from the ground up, especially players with combat professions. When doing quests and the like, Arkon recommends that you don’t just complete the quest as quickly as possible, but stay at the waypoint the mission sent you to.
Avy’enda of Starsider reminds all players that the maximum amount you can sell an item for on the public bazaar is 20,000 credits.
Meet the SWG Players of the Year
by credits4swg on Nov.23, 2009, under SWG Credit Farming Guide, Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
Remember our earlier report that 2 SWGers made it into the 4 SOE Players of the Year? Well, SOE has recently featured them. Here are their overviews:
Besides heading up the Bounty Hunter’s Guild, (player-made content for bounty hunters and those who sign up to be marks and/or informants), Cebot is on Senior Staff of RAID, a large rebel guild active in PVP and PVE content. He recently mapped out our city of Mos Quito, and almost single-handedly “healed” the city by directing guildmates where to place their new homes after the housing purge.
Kordell Lealee, who was also recently selected as a member of the Galactic Senate, introduced himself and shared his thoughts on the universe of Star Wars and his appreciation for the game community.

Today’s Galactic Showcase is about a cool structure, named “A Galactic Stroll,” that was created to share the many terrific items a player has found throughout the galaxy. A teaser:
Grayshuc hopes this bunker can remind us all of our own great times in Star Wars Galaxies. “A Galactic Stroll” has something for everyone to be able to relate their own SWG memories to, and he also hopes it will encourage everyone to continue to make new ones.
Credits to Grayshuc for this structure. Read more here.

SWG Interface Tips
by credits4swg on Nov.23, 2009, under SWG Credit Farming Guide, Swg Credits
Mastering the SWG interface is key to easy gaming (and easy farming of credits? Hehe.) Seasoned SWG veterans know all of the best ways to get the most out of the game interface — do you?
If not, don’t despair — SOE has released a slew of tips for using the SWG interface. Here are some:
Did you know that you can use cut, copy, and paste in game? Kravis tells us how! Press “O” for the Options window, press Keymap, click the All tab, and find the Chat Edit Cut, Chat Edit Copy and Chat Edit Paste commands and assign them a key.
Drashk Dza’lya of TCPrime shares a trick for quickly retrieving items. Items stored in a droid can be instantly retrieved from the toolbar. To do this, drag the item to your toolbar, as normal, so that you can use it. Now, call out any droid that you own that has an Item Storage Module installed. Drag and drop the item over to the droid. You don’t have to open up the droid Item Storage.
When seeking to send the same message to multiple people, start the message as you usually would, but then include a comma (no space) between the names you wish to send it to.

Dev Diary: Build Mastering
by credits4swg on Nov.23, 2009, under swg characters, SWG Credit Farming Guide
Want to know more about the inner game aspects of Build Mastering? Seth “cheeseplus” Thomas takes us on a mini-tour in the latest Dev Diary.
Here’s an excerpt:
There isn’t anything one can study and precisely one book you can read on what being a Build Master is about, as it is unique to each environment. As it turns out, a wide IT background, and the brand of troubleshooting it entails, is extremely useful in the position. I work in several different environments, all with their own quirks and rules, so being the jack-of-all-trades is a must. The majority of my time is spent much like a system/network admin, putting out small fires as they pop up, but it’s my core duties that define the Build Master position.
SWG Tip: Know Your Enemy
by credits4swg on Nov.13, 2009, under Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
Don’t get caught flatfooted! Always be alert and know thy enemy, so you can amass millions of SWG credits!
The galaxy can be a dangerous place for an adventurer setting out on a mission. Carefully consider your enemies before you take them on and you just might survive out there. Here’s an excerpt from the latest SOE guide:
Opponents that are exceptionally well-versed in combat and fighting are known as Elite and Boss enemies. Always bring friends when taking on these adversaries – this won’t be an easy battle!
New SWG Interview
by credits4swg on Nov.13, 2009, under Swg Credits, SWG GUIDE
Game fansite SWGalaxies.net chatted with Event Manager Jason “Pex” Ryan, who answered a wide range of questions from the fan site staff and community. (No SWG credits tips!)
An excerpt:
One event like that was on Eclipse where I made a Nautolan (Kit Fisto’s species) named Adir. The players interacted with a number of player-informants until they found Adir’s cave hideout. After exposing the plot he was to be captured, but he activated a number of Super Battle Droids “hidden” nearby and managed to escape in the ensuing carnage.
